I bake

It's debut I make and bake pizza and cinnamon roll.

Welcome my breakmaker.

I make the dough using my new breadmaker but the dough is really the key which will affect the whole pastry.

Item 1: Pizza
The presentation is good, taste really nice but the dough is too thick. The next time I will make 2 pizzas using the same amount of dough.

Item 2: Cinnamon Roll

I make medium roll. I think my dough is not "oily" enough, so it does not look dark. I cannot over bake it or it might become harden or burnt.

As for the filling, perhaps the cinnamon powder is not enough because the cinnamon favour is not strong when bite. Sugar wise, ok.

I hope the next time I bake, it would turn out better than this time.

Happy 44th Birthday to Singapore!!

 

So you thought we went to Padang to watch that? Check out how we celebrate our National Day?

 

Wear red, put tattoo on face, switch on TV and watch it, sing Singapore songs, say pleage at 8.22pm and with crazy mummy taking shots from TV screen.

 

Where are our NDP tickets? Mummy keep saying she sign up for the tix application, and she keep telling us that for decade she was not picked at all. Why? Singapore, would you give us tickets? We would really like to join you for the celebration LIVE at Padang floating stage.

Seletar Tower

This is a retro pix (black and white) taken by my late father. My mum took this pix out of her album and show it to my girl because last week we went there.

I tried to take "retro" pix in Sepia of this tower because I know my mum had this pix in her album.

Check out the Sepia one with Le Le squating at the foreground. (Okie, I know abit "Y" liao, weather very hot leh!)

My mum said to me, "I was even younger than you when I visited there." ~ How time flies.

Perhaps when my kids grown up, I would take out the Sepia pix, show it to them, and say, "You all were only tiny monkeys when I was there." ~ Time and tide wait for no man.

This was taken from my friend, Sasaki's apartment in Iwate. He stayed there for work and now already moved to Tokyo.
Iwate Prefecture is almost near Sapporo as he told me.

My Teacher

Suddenly I think of my Teacher - HH Drukchen Rinpoche

I could never forget in this very life, how HH Drukchen Rinpoche lead me onto Vijrayana path.

Even though it was a short period I first encountered with HH decade ago, I think I had known Him for a very long time, for eons of lifes. It was perhaps some strong karmic link.

I hope that somedays, in the near future, I could meet HH again.

Metta 宝宝 - July 2009

Metta 宝宝 said that she wants to go school. So fast right? From a baby, she becomes a naughty toddler.

 

Last week I brought her to Sheng Siong, she touched the eggs and I asked her not to touch. She started to cry. I ask her not to cry while I squard down to select the eggs. She hit me using her palm and said "打妈妈". I was a bit shocked. This was the first time she did that to me. Shoppers and passer-by looked at us. 

 

I looked stern and said "No, 不可以打妈妈" and she said back "可以" loudly. I said back firmly again, "不可以!". She started to cry. I think more on-lookers liao...
