Ya today is my birthday!
Duno what kind of birthday I am celebrating this year, sigh...
First, today I was on medical leave due to sore throat infection, also I was having giddy head, so I was given MC for today. Surely the colleagues would think that I "gen" MC on my birthday!
Then today I gotta things to do. I plan to first prepare the food for tonight steamboat dinner since i) my birthday, ii) mum and metta is back home iii) yh is going for reservist, i plan to clean up the house, suck and mop, then I plan to go for massage and then finally cruise back to collect the cake and final preparation of the soup etc...
Things juz doesn't work out well today :-(
I open the cabinet to take out some container when a metal baking tray drop from top and hit right onto my big toe. For that instant I almost had no tear cause it's too painful to say anything. I thought I had lost my toe like the feeling of a chopper falling off... I had a blue black toe now and it's still painful.
Then I start defrosting and cutting up all the food. My boss called, I missed the call cause I was hurrying washing my hand as I was peeling prawns shell then, how to take the call without washing hand? But still I miss it.
I started to vacuum the floor, it was hardwork cause it was too dirty, I can taste my sweat dripping from my head and emerging from my face, it was salty!
Then I started to mop, almost fell coz the floor was slippery.
I had an appointment for massage at 1.30pm, but I couldn't make it coz it was already 1pm after I finished everything and was about to leave. So I decided to call to change time to 2pm instead. I was lucky, I could get my 2pm slot.
I cruised back by bus, a lady sitting next to me keep sleeping on me coz she is too tired already, she dozed off from the moment she board. I gotta "lend her my shoulder" for free for the whole journey and she din even thanks. She got up and alight the bus as soon as the bus drive out of the highway and stop at the first bus stop after PIE.
I collected my half kg cake. Why do that man came to collect at the same time? His was a 2 kg cream cake. I lose to the cake, but I am still excited to see Le Le and Metta's faces fill with excitement if they see a cake, even though it's only half kg.
It was around 6pm, I started to bring out the marinated wing, spread them on the baking tray so that I could grill them, but... at this moment my oven gone into shock! Electric shocked 3x and I had to switch on the main board 3x, I gave up and had to fried the wing which I am most reluctant to.
After so much work, I am so angry that all people were still not back, it was 8pm already.
The relief part was when Lele & Metta press the doorbell and come running in to say : "Happy Birthday Mama". It was so heart-warming. Lele was holding on to a bottle of candy, even though he said it was for me, but he is holding on forever ^_^
Dinner starts after 8pm, cake cutting at 9.30pm. yh open my champhagne (sparkling juice) without even letting me take photo, somemore I thought I should be the one opening since I bought it myself and it's my birthday!
I gotta clean up everything and mop again with 2 chicks around, I don't want to invite ants. I am really tired already.
It's 11.30pm now. I hope to share some joyous pix of my birthday even thought today doesn't seems to turn out smoothly for me...
