Today marks the retirement of my Lumix after owing it for 5 years. That was way before Le Le was borned. Will put my Lumix in my mum's place so that she can "practise" shooting my girl while we are at work, hehehe...
I got a new digital camera today, welcome Nikon Coolpix. I have choosen it among the rest of the well known brand.
Lumix was totally out of my consideration already, not because it was no good, but because I have already own one, I would like to give other brand a try.
Olympus was totally out though it was a very good camera even since my first 傻瓜相机 (film camera).
My husband and I do not have preference for Fuji, Ricoh etc...
Sony cybershot was a good one, IT show bundle it was a good deal, a photo printer, but I don't like the idea of using "just my memory stick",
Canon and Nikon were left with our choice. The first booth I went was Nikon, second to Canon.
Canon Powershot has a long list of ranges which do not appeal, I don't like the plastic look using AA, quite "low-end" to me. They have high end one too, like the EOS but too heavy on my pocket. Ixus was a good one for me. The latest version being 95IS. I am totally attracted to its Digic processor, it seems to run faster then the rest I'd tested. Finally I did not pick it up because I think I am already satisfied with my Canon video recorder.
Nikon Coolpix was really cool. The latest technology being touchscreen, cool right? It's even cheaper than those with a rotary selector. Well, but what's the pitfall? 吃电 lah! You gotta select whatever you want from the screen, abit user unfriendly cause you will be the only one who is familiar and not others. I want my husband to be able to use it too, so it's easier with rotary selector, so the touchscreen is out again. Finally we had decided on a coolpix with all-in-1 features, will leave the features for you to find out!
We seldomly see The Heart Sutra being post up, I would like to post one here.
Hope everyone who see it be free from obstacles and for those who admit you have super memory, could learn The Heart Sutra by heart and obtain lots of merits.
For friends who are not staying near Woodlands would seldomly see train crossing over the road.
Last evening on our way home, we decide to en route the other way to avoid the heavy traffic but was even much slower to reach home because we chance upon the train crossing schedule. It took around 5 minutes.
Nothing to do in the car while waiting for the gate to close, waiting for the train to come and cross and waiting for the gate to open, I decide to take some pictures.
Sometimes an obstacle along our life path may not be as bad as we may think. If we could see this obstacle as something nice, just like transforming our inpatience into nice pictures, that may not be a bad idea too. It's how we make use of time and how we see thing,
I love this place even though it's crowded everyday. Guan Yin is very divine, everything you ask is very very 准!
If you ask too many times of the same question at the same time, She will give you an angry "chiam" saying you that you should not doubt the Buddha, hahaha...
Wow Guan Yin is really wraftful, so make sure you ask your question properly before you "tok the chiam" ok!
Very difficult and almost cannot get the picture of the Guan Yin inside the temple, I took some pictures of the temple from the outside before leaving.
