Little Guilin
Have not been to China for quite sometimes already. Actually I like the places of interest in China. They were very natural and beautiful.
Went for breakfast one morning and we passed by Little Guilin. Decided to stop by for a while to admire the scenery. This is also the place where we have our outdoor wedding photo a decade back.
Making Teochew mooncakes this year 2015
I have always wanted to learn how to make Teochew mooncake with the flaky skin. Finally I tried my hands on them. The making process was quite laborious but fun too. This year my boy helped with the making.
Check these out. These are Teochew pumpkin mooncakes. (I did not attempt the Yam filling because I have a large pumpkin at home and I wanted to finish up all the pumpkin).

New members to aquarium
Our Red platy died few days ago, so fast... after 2 months only.
We decided to get another molly in replacement, so we want another platy, and this 2 platies.
We also bought 4 Cloud Tetras ( White Cloud Mountain minnow.).
Cloud tetras were named after a boy after he discovered such fish in a stream in 白云山, China
1 platy is silver and another has the colour of goldfish, their name: 小辉 and 小金. The batch of cloud tetra has no individual name, but they were called the "Clouds" (Neon tetras were called "Neon Neon".)
I wil try to take more pictures of Clouds tetras.

First Sambal ikan bilis
First time making Sambal Ikan Bilis Chilli after trying the one made by GM-TCM boss.
No recipe to follow, I just taste and look at the one I tasted, then cook my own from bottled sambal chilli, shortcut method lolx.
To prepare the ikan bilis:
1) Wash, clean and using paper to pat dry ikan bilies
2) Spray some oil on the af pan and put ikan bilis in the pan.
3) Spray some oil ion the ikan bilis and give it a good toss lightly to coat with some oil
4) AF at 200 deg C for 15 mins
5) At 5 mins intervals, open and check crispiness, then stir lightly with thongs
6) When done, it will be crispy. Remove and cool on plate
To fry sambal ikan billies:
1) Sliced some onions
2) Put oil in pan and heat oil
3) Fry onion till soft (but not brown)
4) Add in 2 tbsps of Singlong sambal chilli
5) Add in 1 tbsp of "Hebi-Hiam" (Optional, if you don't have)
(My mum bought this dried hebi-hiam from BKK)
6) Stir fried abit and add in water to dilute
7) Add in a small pack of white sugar (About 1 tbsp)
8) Stir till sugar melt and water is abit dried up (but not too dry)
9) Done and serve

Fish Tank update - End June 2015
Here are the new members who joinned our aquarium just yesterday. 1 red platy, 2 mollies and 1 new marimo moss ball.
Do you like my moss ball? Green and fresh right. Our old one already turning grey, think most part of it died. Have to dump soon.
Name of our fishes are always "recycled" after passing on of 1 similar fish as this is the only way to continue its "legacy", to bring memory and happiness LOL. OK we just want to remember them.
We have some neon tetra behind, but they have no name as we couldn't recognise which is which.
The big blackie 小黑 is very naughty coz it's harassing the gold molly so I have to temporary remove gold molly. Yesterday all her fin were rising up, very stress looking and hiding behind the plant. If this continue the gold molly will die, so I have to move her to the smaller tank first.
The previous gold molly just died. He was the only buddy with Blackie, I suppose blackie is too excited or had mistaken new gold molly as his buddy.
The other molly is a mixture of black and gold. Blackie met both type of mollies when he was a small black molly. Now he is so big already. Both the previous gold and black-gold molly died before him. Black molly has very strong living will I guess...
Oh, look at the clay tortoise, you like it? KL made this when he was still with the previous BASC, they brought the students to a pottery place where they made their own clay model. I find this tortoise very nicely done and want to put it into the aquarium if possible :)
