Tokyo Trip - 1 & 2 Dec 2013 Overview
It was KL's birthday on 2 Dec. We bought the Harajuku Roll from the famous shop at Harajuku after we touched down on the first day (1 Dec). The cake was really delicious but abit expensive. Well but it was so well known that we did not expect it to be cheap.
On the 2nd day (2 Dec), we headed Kamakura. It was so fun navigating our way to Kamakura and its nearby temples and town area and having "fun" walking up and down the way to Enoshima (which was so much tiring because we took the WRONG way. We also missed the Enoden train which was supposed to bring us back to Fujisawa station, so we headed back to Enoshima area again to take the Odakyu instead.
We did not make it all the way to the places in Enoshima itself due to time constraint earlier, but instead stop near the promenade to watch sunset with a pack of hot fries and burgers.
It was a long way back as we took the normal train, it took us almost hours...and we did not bother to change the train to Express because the kids were dozing in the train. When we finally reached Shinjuku station, it was almost close to 9pm (instead of our intended 7+pm).
I wanted to head to the Govt Convention Centre (call it 政府都厅 or something like that) to take a bird eye glimpse of Tokyo twilights. The view was marvellous but due to glass reflection, it was difficult to take good picture. Unfortunately, I did not see Tokyo Tower because that section was closed on the day of our visit :(
My blog on the next few days will continue...
