What a picnic day on 1 Sep!
I was on leave since YH is not working so we decided to go for picnic at Sentosa.
We decided to pitch tent since we expect a few hours picnic and sand play for the kids.
It was a hot sunny morning then, we started to pitch and within 5 mins, as soon as we finished pitching and move our things into the tent, the sky turns dark and very strong wind started to blow. Downpour came almost immediately, it was like storm.
Not long, the heavy rain flooded our tent and drenched our mood. We begin to open up umbrellas inside the tent - silly, but really helps. Unfortunately our tent is TOTALLY flooded. We start using our towels (and fortunately we have that) to soak up the water inside. All of us starts soaking and twisting the towel into the pail which the kids suppose to use them for sand play. AND now instead of sand play, it becomes water play. The kids begin to scoop water into the pail. We pour out our tent at least 10 small pails of water I guess,
Everyone is so tired and totally drenched after almost an hour of continous soaking and pouring, can you imagine how heavy is the rain?! Well but we still continue with our picnic after that 1 hour of heavy downpour when the rain is weaker.
As soon as we finished our picnic, we start to pack up and go before the rain come again.
What a picnic day!
PS.. One of the pole completely broke into 2 by the strong wind. We cannot use our tent anymore, really sad...
